Improvisation piece for flutes and voice

It was a concert with Sakura5, Japanese vocal ensemble.

I played an improvisation piece with Sachiko Kinebuchi (voice) which was very well received by audience. It was the improvisation piece inspired by some old  poems from the Hyakunin-ishu.

I had this idea for my CD recording. Actually even though I love of course to play written music by talented composers, sometimes it is nice to play something improvised or composed by my self.

I simply enjoy improvising and also it gave me another viewpoint to see the written music by composers It is like, you pay more attention to the choice of words, expressions, grammar etc... when you have to speak by yourself than you just read what you see.

But of course I principally want to play written music by composers, classic to contemporary :-)

I also played Haru no umi with piano & flute, and presented Japanese flutes.

It was in the big hall / Théâtre St Michel in Brussels
